New Accommodation Support Service

Posted by Sue Burgess · 1 min read

Have you been a former rough sleeper, now have your own tenancy, and would like some support?

Seaview have recently been awarded funding from Sussex Homeless Outreach Reconnection and Engagement (SHORE). The purpose of such funding is to offer an accommodation support service to former rough sleepers to make their accommodation more sustainable. As such, we are in a good position to offer immediate support to people when they secure accommodation and also to pick up former rough sleepers who have been accommodated for some while but are currently in need of some tenancy support.

Intensive and personalised support will be offered to service users and will work in a holistic manner. Support offered could include increasing access to health/mental health services and treatment, tenancy training, money management and life skills amongst other issues. Regular home visits will be carried out for each service user and staff will be able to assist if necessary with attending appointments.

We are looking to support anyone with a history of rough sleeping particularly individuals that would like support to keep the accommodation that they have worked hard to gain.

Please feel free to speak with, or contact Lyn Turner (Housing Co-ordinator) at Seaview Project (01424 717981) to discuss further.
